LoMA are Back!!!!
Some exciting news on its way. New songs, new members and new gigs.
Here’s one now – Sept 25th @ Rics Bar, Fortitude Valley (QLD)
Here comes April!
April is almost here and we’re getting ready to play some local shows in our home town of Brisbane before heading off on the road to play to the rest of Australia. We’ve got a show at the Cubbyhole with Melbourne mods The Frowning Clouds on the 9th and another one at Rics Bar the following week. For more show details make sure you check out our gig page or log on to the myspace. Also, make sure you hit us up on the facebook, become a fan and leave us a message.
The album is now out through MGM in Australia and can be bought from all good record stores (and even some crap ones). If you’re too lazy then there’s always iTunes.
In other news don’t forget to check out Brian’s side project Dead Shades. It features Valentine Beesley from Le Friken Hecks and [A:M] co founder Fleepwood Mac. Its a little less Jon Spencer meets Lime Spiders and a whole lot more Brian Jonestown. Check out their first performance at the Viola Ballroom:
We’re Back!
What a summer! Brian made it back from performing in NY city and a couple of dates in Ireland including a stint on the already infamous Balcony TV while Dave and Silas are putting the finishing touches on their tans. The album lauch was awesome so thanks to those Brisbane locals that showed up. We also made new friends including a Time Off reviewer who hated us and worked hard on a new Enya cover!
In other news, Genuine Copy gets an Australian release through MGM late Febuary so we’ll keep you potsed on that one. That means you can count on us spending some time in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth. We’re also trying to weasle our way back to Ireland and UK sometime this year.

We’re going to give this website a bit of an overhaul too so if you want the latest news head on over to the Facebook fan page or check us out on Myspace.

Last show for the year!
LoMA are set to play their final show for the year at The Joynt in West End (Bris, Aus) on November 28th. It’s the infamous Good Ship Christmas party featuring the Alt-Folk sea dogs themselves The Good Ship.
There’ll be a dodgey Santa and some old school burlesque from Miss Bertie Page and Red Devotchkin

Lovers of Modern Art – Website is up!
It’s finally up. Lovers of Modern Art’s website is now operational. It’s not as full as we’d like it to be so we’ll be updating quite a lot over the next 2 weeks. Keep your eyes peeled. In the mean time it’s back to building the empire…LoMA
